Bishop Strickland Comments on Papal Welcoming of Female "Archbishop"

On April 27, Bishop Emeritus Joseph Strickland of Tyler, Texas, commented on PillarsOfFaith.net regarding the scandalous reception of Mrs. Sarah Mullally at the Vatican. The woman bears the title and attire of the Anglican “Archbishop” of Canterbury.
Monsignor Strickland managed not to mention Pope Leo XIV, even though he had received the lady as an equal “bishop.”
Rather, Bishop Strickland merely reaffirmed the Catholic teaching that the priesthood is divinely instituted and that the Church has no authority to ordain women. He argued that public gestures that give the appearance of honoring someone without valid ordination in an office could confuse the faithful about the nature of the Catholic priesthood and ordination.
In conclusion, he called on Catholics to respond with prayer, Eucharistic adoration, penance, and reparation for the Church.

Vatican Reviews Bishop Martin’s Decisions on Liturgy in Charlotte

The Vatican’s Dicastery for Divine Worship has acknowledged receipt of a “hierarchical recourse” filed against the apparent refusal of Bishop Michael Martin of Charlotte, North Carolina, to respond to requests concerning liturgical matters.
The Vatican letter, dated February 16 and signed by Fr. Pierre Paul, confirms that the case has been assigned protocol number 369/25 and will be examined according to the applicable procedures.
However, in the Vatican, such procedural formalities often lead nowhere; even the acceptance of an appeal does not guarantee any intervention or substantive action.
Bishop Martin has aggressively curtailed Catholic liturgical practices in the Diocese of Charlotte.

Bishop Fellay: Excommunication Highly Probable

Bishop Bernard Fellay has warned members of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) that they could face excommunication after the episcopal consecrations planned for July 1.
He made these remarks during a sermon at a confirmation on April 19 in St. Marys, Kansas, USA, as reported by AdVaticanum.com.
Monsignor Fellay called it “enormously probable” that the FSSPX would be declared excommunicated and schismatic. He repeated: “There is a very high probability.”
And: “They are so to say forcing themselves to do it. But whatever, God can do miracles. It’s not the end.”

CONSERVATIVE POLITICAL PARTIES IN ITALY MUST ASK THE ARCHBISHOP OF MILAN TO CLARIFY THE CATHOLIC FAITH FOR MIGRANTS

CONSERVATIVE POLITICAL PARTIES IN ITALY MUST ASK THE ARCHBISHOP OF MILAN TO CLARIFY THE CATHOLIC FAITH FOR MIGRANTS
The conservative political parties in Italy need to issue a statement calling upon the Archbishop of Milan to clarify the Catholic Faith for all and so permit conservative cardinals, bishops and priests to participate in their political meetings.
The statement could briefly mention some of the following points.
1. We respect all people and appreciate the good things in other religions, but we have our Catholic Faith, outside of which no one goes to Heaven (AG 7, Vatican Council II etc).
2. Not a single cardinal, bishop or priest participated at the Milan Meeting last week. For a Catholic, Jesus cannot be separated from the Church and the Church cannot be separated from politics and legislation. The Vatican must provide a system whereby conservative priests can participate in politics. A priest or bishop must not be excommunicated for participating in politics …Àteru

I Don’t Like Cute Liturgies

A cute liturgy projects its cuteness onto God Himself; a cute God is easily trivialized, ignored, forgotten; and a forgotten God—since human beings by nature long to worship something—will soon have some sort of idol to take His place.
Lately we’ve been exploring topics related directly or indirectly to public religious worship: the
true nature of a feast, the history of Christian feast days, feasting in medieval liturgy, and bells as liturgical instruments in the Old Covenant and the New. All these discussions point in one way or another to a fundamental quality of liturgy as it was understood and practiced for centuries in the western and eastern Church. This quality draws upon such concepts as beauty, solemnity, formality, transcendentality, sublimity—but it is not equivalent to any one of these things. Is there a single word by which we might express the quality I have in mind? I believe there is, though we must accept that it is imperfect unto its task, and we must also …

Francis to Male Caregiver in Concubinage: “Do They Give You Communion?”

“Pope Francis was like a second father to me, and I still miss him deeply,” said his nurse, Massimiliano Strappetti, 56, in an interview with Corriere.it on April 19.
Francis hated hospital stays and joked whenever he had to go to Gemelli Hospital: “You’ll see—the cardinals are preparing the conclave now.”
“Every morning when he woke up, he would ask me, ‘Hello, who died today?’ That was just how he was,” Strappetti recalled.
One day, Strappetti told Francis that he was divorced and living with another woman. The pope replied: “And what’s the problem?”
He then asked: “Do they let you receive Communion? If not, tell me the names of those priests who refuse - I’ll go speak to them myself!”
For Strappetti, Francis was a “surprising” pope.

THE REAL WAR NOBODY WANTS TO NAME
On Christ, Antichrist, the Errors of Russia, and the Shape of Reality
There is a war going on. You can feel it. Most people can feel it even if they cannot name it. And because they cannot name it, they name the wrong thing.
They say it is a war between races. Or between nations. Or between the globalists and the patriots. Or between Islam and the West. Or between men and women. Or between the rich and the poor.
None of that is wrong exactly. But none of it is the real thing. Those are the shadows of the war, not the war itself.
The real war is between Christ and Antichrist.
And if that language does not work for you yet, try this: it is the war between reason and unreason. Between the natural order and the war on that order. Between those who accept that reality has a shape — and those who have declared war on that shape. Christ and reason are not two different things. They are the same thing. That is the claim this piece is built on, and it is worth …Àteru

People who speak of right vs left at this stage are just gutting morality

V.R.S.

It is quite simple as St. John himself, the Beloved Apostle of Love is telling us:
"Who is a liar, but he who denieth that Jesus is the Christ? This is Antichrist, who denieth the Father, and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father.
(1 John 2)
"And every spirit that dissolveth Jesus, is not of God: and this is Antichrist, of whom you have heard that he cometh, and he is now already in the world"
Douay-Rheims Bible, 1 John Chapter 4
(1 John 4)
So all the spirits dissolving Jesus - spirits of the synagogue of Satan, of impious Mohammedan sect and those actively co-operating with them are of Antichrist.

Switzerland: Holy Communion Was Fed to Dogs

Three individuals shared portions of their consecrated Hosts with their dogs during a Eucharist on October 4, 2025, at Good Shepherd Parish in Zürich, Switzerland.
The sacrilege occurred during an animal blessing that had been combined with a Eucharist.
The Diocese of Chur investigated the incided and concluded on April 17 that the individuals did not act with sacrilegious intent.
Despite imposing no canonical penalties, the diocese described the incident as “highly regrettable.”

I knew a protestant woman who went to Mass, took a host, and after eating part of it, gave the rest to her grandchild. It grieves me to know to what extent the Holy Catholic Church is being betrayed by her priests and prelates. 🙏 🙏 🙏

Father Karl A Claver

I have witnessed people taking the HOST and breaking IT into smaller pieces. What happened after that I do not know. Several times I had to interrupt distributing Holy Communion, and tell the person to consume the Host immediately, and not parade around the Church with IT. Yes, things are becoming worse each day.

Leo XIV on Anglican Dialogue: Overcoming Differences, No Matter How Intractable They Seem

Meeting for the first time with Anglican Dame Sarah Mullally, who holds the title Archbishop of Canterbury, Leo XIV encourages Catholics and Anglicans to proclaim Christ together.
They prayed together in the Urban VIII Chapel in the Apostolic Palace.
Leo XIV spoke about a fake archbishop who was an Anglican layman, and a pope who was far from saintly.
“When archbishop Michael Ramsey and Saint Pope Paul VI announced the first theological dialogue between Anglicans and Catholics [in 1966], they spoke of seeking the ‘restoration of complete communion in faith and sacramental life’. Certainly this ecumenical journey has been complex. While much progress has been made on some historically divisive issues, new problems have arisen in recent decades, rendering the pathway to full communion more difficult to discern.
I know that the Anglican Communion is also facing many of these same questions at this time.
Nevertheless, we must not allow these continuing challenges to prevent us from using …Àteru

Leo XIV Won’t Stop German Homosex Blessings – German Theologian

Following recent remarks from Leo XIV, theologian Thomas Söding, a layman, sees "no threat" to the blessing of homosexual couples in Germany. He has been one of the best-known voices linked to the German Synod.
Speaking to Deutschlandfunk on April 27, Söding said: “What can and should happen with homosexual couples in Germany has been agreed with Rome — and that will not change.”
According to Söding, Leo XIV’s concern is ensuring that blessings are not confused with marriage, stressing that the distinction upheld by Rome is also reflected in German pastoral guidelines.
Munich Cardinal Reinhard Marx had recently forced his clergy to perform or enable homosexual blessings. According to Söding, such blessings have “long been common practice” in many German dioceses. The real issue, Söding said, is transparency: “The question is whether people talk about it openly or not.”
Cardinal Marx’s move creates “more clarity - and that is a good thing.”
