The Virtue of Patriotism

Our Lady’s Messengers · America 250 Patriotism Anno Domini 2026 · 1776 – 2026 As our nation approaches the 250th anniversary of its founding through the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Holy Mother Church turns first to prayer. In the months ahead, His Eminence Raymond Leo Cardinal Burke, in partnership with CatholicVote, will offer a video series titled “The Virtue of Patriotism,” reflecting on the Church’s understanding of love of country rightly ordered to love of God, fidelity to the moral law, and the pursuit of the common good. This spiritual formation will prepare the faithful for the Zeale for America 250 Rally taking place in La Crosse, Wisconsin on June 13, 2026. During this historic event, the faithful will gather in prayer with Cardinal Burke for an entrusting of our nation to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. His Eminence will also deliver a keynote address.
