The Assembly of Catholic Ordinaries of the Holy Land strongly condemned the desecration of an image of the crucified Jesus in a Lebanese village, calling it a grave offense against the Christian faith and noting similar incidents in the region. They called for immediate disciplinary action, accountability, and firm assurances that such acts will not be repeated, while renewing their appeal to end the war.

French Church Becomes Brewery and Restaurant

The church Saint-Nicaise de Rouen in Rouen, France, will become a brasserie-restaurant with an additional museum space.
The site dates back to the 7th century, when a chapel was built for the relics of Saint Nicaise.
The current building was reconstructed in reinforced concrete after a fire in 1934 and reopened for worship in 1940.
Due to structural deterioration, water infiltration, and lack of maintenance, the church was closed in 2006 and officially deconsecrated in 2017.
The new project includes a restaurant, on-site beer production, and preservation of some architectural elements. The church’s large organ, completed in 1957 and one of the most important in Rouen, has been removed and will be relocated to another church in Paris for restoration.
Local authorities cited high restoration costs as the main reason for the conversion.

The Secret of Love of God and a Neighbor ~ ‘How virtues are accomplished by means of our neighbour…’ ~ 'The Dialogue' of Saint Catherine of Siena; Translated from Italian by ALGAR THOROLD, 1907; ‘DIVINE PROVIDENCE’; pp. 43-47

[Saint Catherine of Siena /Caterina di Benincasa/; XIV-XV Century AD; Siena, Republic of Siena/Rome, Papal States; aged 33; Spiritual Writer; Mystic; Virgin; Doctor of the Church]
‘How virtues are accomplished by means of our neighbour and how it is that virtues differ to such an extent in creatures.’
" I have told thee how all sins are accomplished by means of thy neighbour,
through the principles which I exposed to thee, that is, because men are deprived of the affection of love, which gives light to every virtue. In the same way self-love, which destroys charity and affection towards the neighbour, is the principle and foundation of every evil. All scandals, hatred, cruelty, and every sort of trouble proceed from this perverse root of self-love, which has poisoned the entire world, and weakened the mystical body of the Holy Church, and the universal body of the believers in the Christian religion ; and, therefore, I said to thee, that it was in the neighbour, that is to say in the …વધારે

" Wherefore, I show you that in My house are many mansions, and that I wish for no other thing than love, for in the love of Me is fulfilled and completed the love of the neighbour, and the law observed. For he, only, can be of use in his state of life, who is bound to Me with this love."

In Principio

" And it cannot be otherwise, because love of Me and of her neighbour are one and the same thing, and, so far as the soul loves Me, she loves her neighbour, because love towards him issues from Me. This is the means which I have given you, that you may exercise and prove your virtue therewith ; because, inasmuch as you can do Me no profit, you should do it to your neighbour. This proves that you possess Me by grace in your soul, producing much fruit for your neighbour and making prayers to Me, seeking with sweet and amorous desire My honour and the salvation of souls. The soul, enamoured of My truth, never ceases to serve the whole world in general, and more or less in a particular case according to the disposition of the recipient and the ardent desire of the donor, as I have shown above, when I declared to thee that the endurance of suffering alone, without desire, was not sufficient to punish a fault."

Spanish Serial Killer Moved to Women’s Prison After "Gender Transition": Spanish serial killer Joan Vila Dilmé, known as the “Angel of Death,” has been transferred to a women’s prison after identifying as a "woman" under the name “Aida.” Vila, now 60, was sentenced in 2014 to 127 years in prison for the murder of 11 patients at a care home in Olot between 2009 and 2010. The killings involved lethal overdoses of insulin or psychotropic drugs, while some victims were forced to ingest corrosive substances. Most victims were elderly and vulnerable residents under his care. Vila has been serving his sentence at Puig de les Basses prison since 2010.

Cardinals Reject Hope in Leo XIV on Roman Rite

Several anonymous cardinals and curial officials told the Substack.com account The Pillar on April 17 that they do not expect any resolution to the question of the Mass in the Roman rite in the near future.
Some Catholics had hoped the next extraordinary consistory of cardinals on June 26–27 would address the liturgical issue. Instead, Leo XIV chose to focus on Francis' document Evangelii Gaudium.
One Vatican official said that Leo XIV was not very familiar with traditional communities or even the traditional liturgy, and that his primary concern was not liturgy but whether members of those communities accept the Second Vatican Council.
As early as June 2025, the best friend of Leo XIV, Alejandro Moral, Prior General of the Augustinians, had already ruled out any return of the older form of the Mass under his pontificate.

Paul VI killed the Old Mass; JP II gave it a tiny life; Benedict opened it up greatly, saying it had never really been officially done away with; Francis tried to kill it; Leo seems happy with Francis's decision. Zigzag, zigzag, what is the layman to think? "Officer, the light was green when I went through it." "Well, it's red now and you are in trouble." Why should the laity respect the governance of the Church?

John 6: I am the Bread of Life, Understanding the Eucharist, Catholic Bible Study, Fr. Tim Peters
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 6,35-40.

Jesus said to the crowds, "I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst.
But I told you that although you have seen (me), you do not believe.
Everything that the Father gives me will come to me, and I will not reject anyone who comes to me,
because I came down from heaven not to do my own will but the will of the one who sent me.
And this is the will of the one who sent me, that I should not lose anything of what he gave me, but that I should raise it on the last day.
For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him may have eternal life, and I shall raise him on the last day."

During his flight to Equatorial Guinea, Pope Leo XIV responded to questions regarding a potential future consistory. “That is a question that many people want to ask,” he said. He then made it clear that no decision had yet been taken on the timing of a new consistory. "We need to consider the matter from a broader global perspective," he added, also suggesting that the African continent is being given attention.

Today, Leo XIV commented on the possibility of the next consistory and the creation of new cardinals: 'No decision has yet been made on when new cardinals will be created. We need to consider the issue from a global perspective. We hope that, in the near future — or perhaps a little further down the line — the appointment of a new cardinal for Angola can be considered, and that this will be the case for Africa, and perhaps even for Angola.”

1. Acceptance of Homosexuality not as Sin
2. Acceptance of co-celebration of liturgy with the Muslims
By what means will this be accomplished?
A. Blackmail and treachery
B. The promotion of the correct types of Bishops and Cardinals
C. The Changing of the Curriculum in the Seminaries
D. The changing of existing Government Laws
E. Threats: Pope Leo will implement the new curriculum stating that it is mandatory, else they will be in schism like the SSPX.
F. Finally, the Catechism will be changed to allow the worship of the rear end not as Sin.

The Israeli army has stated that it has replaced the crucifix that one of its soldiers defaced in Lebanon. The IDF has expressed deep regret over the incident and is working to ensure that it does not happen again.

Starmer's support starts to crack: Sacked civil servant plunges knife into reeling PM as Labour MPs call on Cabinet to act - with Miliband and Cooper the first to show dissent

Cracks are appearing in Keir Starmer's Cabinet as he comes under mounting pressure over the Peter Mandelson affair.
In an extraordinary parliamentary hearing on Tuesday, a mandarin sacked by the Prime Minister revealed the 'atmosphere of pressure' created by No10 to approve the New Labour grandee as ambassador to the US, as well as its 'dismissive approach' to security vetting.
And the scandal took another turn when Sir Olly Robbins revealed that Downing Street had secretly tried to give another plum diplomatic job to Sir Keir's spin doctor.
In a stinging criticism of the PM's judgment, Energy Secretary Ed Miliband publicly admitted he had been against giving Mandelson the prestigious Washington DC posting, well before it was known he had failed his security clearance test.
Asked what he had thought about the appointment at the time, Mr Miliband told Sky News: 'That it could blow up, that it could go wrong. I had a conversation with David Lammy about it before the appointment, …

Vatican Is Responsible for 'Valley of the Fallen', Not Madrid Cardinal - Minister

Amid growing controversy over the future of the Valley of the Fallen, Spain’s Minister of the Presidency, Félix Bolaños, has defended Cardinal José Cobo of Madrid.
Bolaños told LaSexta.com that the plan to secularise the religious site was not the cardinal's initiative, but the result of an agreement reached directly with the Vatican.
He emphasised that no personal deal had been made with Cobo, who has faced significant pressure from Catholics over the issue.
The minister also said that the Vatican is fully committed to transforming the Valley from a monastery into a site of "democratic memory".
Addressing divisions within the Catholic Church, Bolaños described it as a 'plural organisation', while criticising more traditional sectors that oppose the transformation and suggesting that they are out of step with 'contemporary society'.
He also placed the “re-signification” of the Valley within a broader set of negotiations between the Spanish government and the Church, covering issues …વધારે

Names of FSSPX Bishops in June

In June, the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X will announce the names of the future bishops to be consecrated on 1 July in Ecône, Switzerland.
Father Kevin M. Cusick published this rumour on the Rorate-Caeli blog, referring to an anonymous 'reliable source' who claimed that both Don Davide Pagliarani, the Fraternity's Superior General, and Father John Fullerton, the Fraternity's Superior for the US, had confirmed the information.

Francis Knew "Many" Homosexual Priests

On today's first anniversary of Francis's death, the homosexual activist James Martin SJ shared a memory from 2024. At the time, Francis had made some negative remarks about homosexual priests using the Italian slur "frociaggine" (faggotry) in a meeting with Italian bishops.
A few weeks later, Francis received Fr Martin and discussed the expression. Francis said then that he knew "many holy, faithful, celibate gay priests and seminarians".
When Fr Martin suggested proclaiming this publicly, Francis replied, "Oh, but I think I have. And in any event, you can say that!"
According to Fr Martin, Francis asked back: "So you're saying that I can say you know many holy, faithful, celibate gay priests and seminarians?" Francis shrugged and said, "Of course. Because I do!"
[In reality, the Church has suffered from many unholy, unfaithful, sexually active gay priests.]
A few days later, during an audience with comedians, Fr Martin greeted Francis again. The Pope said, "Thank you for our meeting …વધારે

Gay is an adjective that applies to someone tempted to homosexual sin and is proud of the temptation and acting on the temptation. He or she also encourages others to be proud of their temptations and sins. The specific difference is pride. One who is tempted or sins in a homosexual manner and experiences compunction and repugnance is not gay. Given that definition one cannot be a good gay catholic or a good gay priest. Pride is a vice. It changes a tempted person or sinner who should be ashamed into a vicious monster. Bergoglio's and Martin's ambiguity serves as a smoke screen for contradicting divine revelation and traditional moral doctrine.
