Novus Ordo “Priest” Leads “Chicken Procession”

Two pastors in South Korea have been fined 1 million won (about €620) each after loudly preaching on a domestic flight from Jeju to Seoul. They shouted that passengers would “go to hell” if they did not believe in Jesus, while one moved around the cabin. They continued despite instructions from the cabin crew to stop. A Seoul court found that their conduct constituted a disturbance under South Korea’s Aviation Security Act.

The court said the 64-year-old pastor stood in the aisle despite repeated attempts by crew members to stop him and shouted at passengers, “You will go to hell if you don’t believe in Jesus.”

This unrelated file photo shows the interior of an airplane. (Getty Images Bank) Two pastors were fined 1 million won ($723) each for disrupting a domestic flight by loudly preaching to passengers and refusing repeated requests from cabin crew to stop, local media reported Monday. The pastors, 64 and 68, were convicted of violating the Aviation Security Act over an incident aboard a flight from Jeju to Gimpo that departed at around 3:40 p.m. on March 12, according to the Seoul Southern District Court's Aug. 18 ruling. The court said the 64-year-old pastor stood in the aisle despite repeated attempts by crew members to stop him and shouted at passengers, “You will go to hell if you don’t believe in Jesus.” The other pastor joined in, shouting, "Hallelujah, you will go to hell" while walking up and down the aisle. When a crew member approached to issue a warning, the pastors reportedly shouted back, "Don't try to lecture me." The two ignored repeated complaints and objections from crew …

10 or more underground bishops secretly consecrated since Vatican-China deal: report - LifeSite

Thu Aug 27, 2026 - 7:19 pm EDTFri Aug 28, 2026 - 6:30 am EDT (LifeSiteNews) — An underground Chinese Catholic bishop claimed in a new report that “at least 10” underground bishops have been secretly consecrated since the signing of the Vatican-China deal to preserve the faith in Communist China. During an interview with Catholic World Report (CWR) on the state of the Church in China published August 23, the underground bishop, who is unaffiliated with the official Chinese Catholic Patriotic Association and chose to remain anonymous, highlighted that “at least 10 new” underground bishops have been secretly consecrated in the Fujian region since the Sino-Vatican deal was codified in 2018 to ensure the faith’s survival during a “state of emergency.” The bishop also noted the Vatican’s approval of CCP-selected bishops under the deal, underscoring how this has led Chinese Catholics to question the Vatican’s concern for them. The bishop said that while the exact number of these secretly …

Contemporary Dance Integrated into Assumption Liturgy in Mallorca

Worse than Germany: A contemporary dance and sound performance was incorporated into the celebration of the Solemnity of the Assumption at the Church of Sant Joan Baptista in Muro, Mallorca. It was entitled El Vol Màgic (“The Magic Flight”).
According to the Diocese of Mallorca, the work was “conceived specifically for the liturgical context of the celebration of the Assumption of the Mother of God.”
The project was directed by a musician and developed together with a dancer and choreographer, an organist, and a sound specialist.
According to the diocesan description, the project grew out of research into Mallorca’s traditional observances surrounding the Assumption and sought to explore the relationship between “sound, body, space and ritual.”

Singapore Introduces New Family Support Measures: With the country’s fertility rate falling to a record low of just 0.87 children per woman, Singapore is introducing a major new support package for families. From 2027, the government will provide nearly S$70,000 (about US$55,000) in support for each Singaporean child from birth to age 17. The package includes cash payments, childcare credits, healthcare and education support.

Singapore will pay about $55,000 in support for each child; why the country is paying parents to have babies

The announcement was made by Prime Minister Lawrence Wong during Singapore's National Day Rally on August 23. Singapore has a problem that money alone has not been able to solve. People there are having fewer children. Now the country is trying a bigger, longer-term approach. Singapore will provide almost S$70,000 (around US$55,000 or roughly Rs 47 lakh) in direct financial support for every Singaporean child, from birth until the child turns 17.The announcement was made by Prime Minister Lawrence Wong during Singapore's National Day Rally on August 23. But the headline figure needs some context. This is not a S$70,000 cheque that parents receive after having a baby. The amount is spread across different forms of support, including cash payments, healthcare-related grants, child credits and education support. The move comes as Singapore's fertility rate has fallen to its lowest recorded level. According to Singapore's Department of Statistics, the country's resident total fertility rate …

First woman rector of a shrine: Witnessing to the Gospel through listening

[vaticannews] At the Rimini Meeting, we spoke with Anna Medeossi, who has been entrusted with the care of Notre-Dame de Santa Cruz in Oran, Algeria, about her story of encounter, faith, and listening.
By Eugenio Murrali and Andrea Tornielli - Rimini
Anna Medeossi has a lively and determined gaze, gentleness in her voice and gestures, and a wisdom that is both humble and profound.
An architect originally from the Italian city of Gorizia, she might never have imagined what life would call her to do nearly a year ago: become the first woman in the world to serve as rector of a shrine.
That distinction takes on even greater significance because of where the shrine is located: Notre-Dame de Santa Cruz in Oran, Algeria, an overwhelmingly Muslim country.
Images of the shrine she oversees were seen around the world on the occasion of the beatification of the Martyrs of Algeria.
From architecture to caring for the shrine
Her arrival at Santa Cruz—where she now also lives as a consecrated virgin …Ve

How Leo XIV Is Consolidating Francis’ Opening to Women in Vatican Leadership

Pope Francis broke with Vatican tradition by putting women into positions long reserved in practice for clerics. Leo XIV is now turning that breakthrough into routine.
In little more than a year, he has confirmed women appointed by his predecessor, promoted others and named numerous women to positions across the Vatican.
Italian media have noticed. They repeatedly reach for the colour pink: the Vatican “turns pink,” while headlines speak of a “Vaticano in rosa” and “nomine rosa” — “pink appointments.”
Here are the many women Leo XIV has appointed, promoted or confirmed so far.
Raffaella Petrini - Governor of Vatican City
Francis appointed Sister Raffaella Petrini president of the Governorate of Vatican City State and president of the Pontifical Commission for Vatican City State shortly before his death.
Leo XIV did more than simply leave her there. In November 2025, he modified Vatican City’s Fundamental Law so that the presidency of the Pontifical Commission no longer had to be held by …Ve

Do you think according to God or according to men?
Liturgy of August 30, 2026- Twenty-second Sunday of Ordinary Time
Jesus, just as in his time invited Peter and his apostles to think according to God and not according to men, in every time and every place, He keeps on addressing the same heartfelt appeal to his disciples. Actually in every time and every place, His disciples keep on taking the risk to be no longer the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Nowadays the most dangerous threat to Christian faith is the rampant neo-paganism.
This is the dangerous fate facing the once-West-Christian-World, which nowadays seems to have no other god than the ego to please in all its desires, whims, and perversions.
Peter's "misstep", so to speak, and the immediate, decisive intervention of the divine Master reassure us. Jesus was, is, and always will be alive and present in His Church, and no one, not even the Pope , will ever be able to change the extraordinary plan for humanity that …Ve

Mexican Bishop Bans Laypeople from Assuming Clerical Roles in Liturgy

A Mexican bishop has issued a decree restricting laypeople from assuming roles proper to ordained ministers in liturgical celebrations.
Bishop Carlos Enrique Samaniego López of Texcoco issued the decree on 10 August, citing “irregular practices” that distort the priestly ministry and the sacred character of liturgical acts.
It prohibits former seminarians, religious, extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion and other faithful not instituted in the stable ministry of acolyte from presiding over celebrations of the Word, funeral rites, sacramentals or other liturgical acts proper to ordained ministers.
It also forbids non-clerics from wearing the alb or “any sacred ornament or vestment reserved uniquely and exclusively to the clergy”, both within and outside liturgical celebrations.
The bishop expressed concern about celebrations held in halls, gardens and other unapproved locations by “pseudo ordained ministers” and “celebrants”.
“I ask all the Christian faithful of the Diocese of Texcoco …Ve

War Against the Ancient Mass Is Destructive for the Church - Cardinal Sarah

When the generation of the ’68ers passes away, the unfounded, one-sided attitudes against Latin and Gregorian chant will pass away as well, Cardinal Robert Sarah told IlGiornale.it on August 27.
Benedict XVI’s liberalization of the Traditional Latin Mass had a positive and even corrective influence on abuses in the celebration of the Novus Ordo, Cardinal Sarah said.
“Many priests testify that discovering the Extraordinary Form helped them to celebrate better.”
Furthermore, the faithful could choose which form corresponded more closely to the fostering of the faith.
“But all of this was brought to an abrupt end by Traditionis Custodes while the Pope Emeritus was still alive.”
Francis’ restrictions on the Latin Mass were “neither a wise nor a respectful choice.”
Cardinal Sarah added that access to “ritual forms that have existed for centuries can never be artificially restricted by decrees.”
Without referring explicitly to the Novus Ordo, Sarah noted that a rite that did not serve the …Ve

Parallels between the Passion of the Church and the Passion of Christ

Peregrinus
May 18, 2026
The Conspiracy Against Our Lord
Our Lord’s Passion

A secret conspiracy of the Jewish clergy against Our Lord Jesus Christ
Passion of the Church
A secret conspiracy of the Modernist clergy against the Mystical Body of Jesus Christ
Further Explanation
The faithless and corrupt Jewish clergy could not act openly against Christ because He had the support of the people, so they sought a traitor amongst His own disciples to try to destroy Him.
We know from The Permanent Instruction of the Alta Vendita that, to destroy the Mystical Body of Christ, the Freemasons sought and worked for a generation of liberals imbued with revolutionary ideas, creating the Modernists – members of the Church and the clergy turned traitors and enemies within.
After Pope St. Pius X condemned Modernism in 1907 and put measures in place to thwart it, the Modernists changed their tactics from openly propagating their ideas to working in secret to advance to high positions from which they could …Ve

Mother of Mercy Chapel in Columbus, Ohio, was already a beautiful Romanesque-style church, but later 20th-century alterations had diminished the coherence of its sanctuary. In 2025, William Heyer Architect replaced the small modern forward altar with a hand-carved wooden freestanding altar better suited to the character of the historic interior. The main intervention was the expansion of Rudolph Scheffler’s 1950s Christ the King apse mural. New saints and sacred symbols now occupy previously bare areas around the original composition.

The chapel was already built around the substantial architectural bones of a Romanesque style architecture, with stone walls, columns with decorative capitals, an open-trussed timber ceiling, and an impressive apse featuring and image of Christ the King enthroned. Let's jump right into things with the 'before.' BEFORE Many of our 'before and afters' feature a parish that had either been stripped of its liturgical appointments and ornaments at some point, or some which never had them in the first place. In this instance, while we can certainly see some evidence of the later twentieth century modifications, the chapel …
