February 14, The Feast of St. Maron, founder of the Maronites

"Through his presence and prayer, the area he chose was consecrated to God, and a church eventually rose where pagan idols had once stood."
St. John Chrysostom
Though he died around the year 410, his spirit pushed his disciples toward the mountains of Lebanon, where the rugged landscape echoed his own life of silence and endurance. This lineage reappeared with striking clarity in the 19th century in Saint Charbel Makhlouf. The miraculous healing of Nohad El Shami in 1993, where Saint Charbel appeared accompanied by Saint Maron, proves that the ancient father and the modern saint are forever linked.
A legacy of instinct.

My error here, this date should be February 14, now corrected.

Saint Jean Chrysostome
Un héritage instinctif.
