Funeral SoG Luisa Piccarreta

“More than forty priests, the Capitolo [the Ecclesiastical authorities] and the local Clergy, were present; the sisters, who brought her on their shoulders in turns, and an immense crowd of citizens. The streets along which the procession was to pass, were packed – incredibly; even the balconies and the roofs of the houses were crammed with people, and the procession proceeded with great difficulty. The funeral was celebrated in the Matrice Church by the entire Capitolo. All the people of Corato followed the body of Luisa to the cemetery, and everyone tried to bring home a souvneir of the flowers which had accompanied and touched the body. A few years later, the body of Luisa was transferred to her Parish Church of Santa Maria Greca, where she is humbly waiting for her glorification.

3/7 – 1947 – Funeral Liturgy and Burial of Luisa Piccarreta

Servant of God, lived exclusively for 64years on the Blessed Sacrament. This period of time she was confined to her bed, voluntarily she remained there so Our Lord could dictate. Two Popes Leo XIII and St Pius X gave permission for daily Mass in her bedroom. She remained totally absolutely totally obedient to the Church. Go figure.

Father Mawdsley presented a classic subjective hit job on the writings of Servant of God Luisa. Absolutely subjective, and anyone listening wouldn’t know what is in context, what is in mystical conformity with the Church, what is Cabal texts as opposed to Luisa’s writing. @Scapular As I keep saying to you, Luisa's Cause was suspended, the Nihil Obstat not granted, and her writings found to contain "Theological, Christological, and Anthropological Difficulties" by those in the Holy See responsible for the Postulation of her Cause and writings (i.e. the DDF and the DCS). Father Mawdsley has no authority in the matter whatsoever, other than his right and duty to speak out as a priest to protect souls from error, and his three videos came out way after the decision from Rome, so could not have influenced that decision in any way.

I find it interesting that there is such a strong pushback to Father Mawdsley and others condemning the Divine Will devotion and L. Piccarreta. Clearly the deep Church has some agenda we may not be fully aware of.
English Catholic
@giveusthisday Whether they realise it or not, the false apparitions/seers/locutions/heavenly messages brigade are the useful idiots of the Deep Church.

@brhenry As I have said ad infinitum on this blog and elsewhere, canonised saints are not given the charism of infallibility when dealing with alleged seers and private revelations.

@Luke 817 Yes, I was called a 'legalist' yesterday by an apparition devotee. LOL! 🥴

Here are the words from Holy Father (Pope Benedict XVI) when the statue of Saint Annibale Maria di Francia was

“A monument to the apostle of prayer for priestly vocations and apostle of the Kingdom of the Divine Will, has been
placed in the center of Catholicism: the Saint Peter Basilica at the Vatican. … The monument is truly a great gift and a
tribute of the Church to the charismatic figure of Saint Annibale, known throughout the world as a worthy apostle of
prayer for vocations as well as great apostle of the Kingdom of the Divine Will. Six years after his canonization, his
impressive image is located in the heart of Christianity. Father Annibale has always nurtured and expressed feelings
of deep love and obedience to the Vicar of Christ, which he has passed on to his spiritual children as a sign of
unconditional loyalty. He constantly pointed at the “Rogate”, as the infallible and vital remedy for the life of the Church.
… Let us pray on this special occasion to San Annibale Maria Di Francia that he:
Who reviewed and gave Nihil Obstat to the Writings of the Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta, inspires and guides those
who now read her writings.
Who published and disseminated “The Hours of the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ” and all her other writings helps
in this sacred task all those whom God inspires the timely publication of them.
Who overflowed with the divine light of the doctrine of the Divine Will intercedes for us so that we, by
constantly dying to our will, can continually live in the Divine Will.
We entrust ourselves to St. Annibale Maria Di Francia to obtain for us the spiritual graces needed to know,
understand and fully live in the Kingdom of the Divine Will."

I think most of us have figured. None of this alters the fact that her Cause has been suspended, and the Nihil Obstat not granted, due to "Theological, Christological, and Anthropological Difficulties" in her writings.

At a total of approximately 4 hours over three videos, no-one could accuse Father Mawdsley of not being thorough.

Thank you for these links. Have you got any similar materials but as files for reading?

In the Polish section of this forum there are several persons including a priest very actively promoting Piccarreta's writings. Therefore, enumerating theological doubts would be very useful.

@V.R.S. Bear with me, I'm just finding some links . . .

@V.R.S. Being as the suspension of Luisa's Cause is very recent, there isn't a lot of written material as yet. The following links date from before, and were kindly given to me by @LiveMike. I have only read some of them, not all of them. See below:-

I found on my own the following article: IS LUISA PICCARRETA’S KINGDOM OF THE DIVINE WILL CATHOLIC?
giveusthisday
DEEPLY DISTURBED: Indefensible errors in the 'Divine Will' writings. The texts condemn themselves. Luisa acting as the third member of a New Trinity, all of creation bowing down to her...example of five important errors in her writings, and the idea that she may have been a victim of a dark power.
