The Congregation for the Causes of Saints has suspended the Cause of Luisa Piccaretta and a Nihil Obstat has not been granted, due to "Theological, Christological, and Anthropological Difficulties"

English Catholic please at least listen to the video before you bomb it. DG
English Catholic
@Scapular Not me that bombed either the Cause, the devotion or any subsequent videos. That's down to the Holy See.
Scapular
Then we shall Nick name you “Pope Francis’s little bomber”
English Catholic
@Scapular I'd be surprised if Francis even knew who Luisa Piccaretta was. And as I said, it was NOT me that bombed the Cause and the Nihil Obstat. That was the DDF and the DCS.

@Maria delos Angeles I take a more nuanced view. Having visited many of the dicasteries and spoken with many of the personnel between 1996 - 2000, I witnessed good and bad. I wouldn't issue a blanket condemnation, either back then or even now. Things certainly look worse, because of the Francis effect, but there are good men that are suffering under him, and doing the best they can under difficult …More

Very good theological refutation of the flawed judgment of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints regarding Louisa Piccarreta: Luisa Attacked Again – Countdown to the Kingdom

The hilarious thing is that this piece stated that "Note that Countdown to the Kingdom does not in any way encourage disobedience to Church decrees." Yeah, right.

@English Catholic "Countdowntothekingdom" is not Gisella Cardia's website. That's Home - La Madonna di Trevignano Romano

(By the way: I think blocking comments is not very courageous, to put it mildly).

@petrus100453 I haven't blocked you, the fact that we're conversing here proves that. I saw the list of 'seers' on 'Countdown to the Kingdom' (CTTK). It was a who's who of false/dubious/condemned seers, that they (CTTK) find credible - those who have no God-given authority whatsoever. So whatever their local Ordinaries, Episcopal Conferences of Bishops or the DDF say, CTTK's ramblings are the only …More

So whatever their local Ordinaries, Episcopal Conferences of Bishops or the DDF say, CTTK's ramblings are the only source of reliable information for you. I've told you before, you're an apparition addict, waiting for your next fix of spiritual candy. You need to start reading truly Catholic books based on the Faith, and Apologetics (pre-conciliar ones are better) and stop obsessing and reading about alleged seers/apparitions/revelations.

@English Catholic The comments on your channel about Gisella Cardia are turned off... And we all have a God given authority to make an own judgement. And by the way, I have a license in theology from a recognized catholic university, so your assumption that I don't read good Catholic books is just wrong. And the people at CDTTK are not infallible, of course, but they are very serious and very qualified people. A little humility in your assessment of other people would not hurt.

@petrus100452 Turning comments off as a general rule (which I do - and for good reason, which I will explain to you privately) and blocking people because of specific disagreements are two entirely different things. You show rash judgement stating that I lack humility, for accepting the legitimate authority of the Church on private revelations. And if you have a License in Theology from a recognised …More

And if you have a License in Theology from a recognised Catholic university, how on earth did you get to where you are now?
Again, I have to repeat from the CDF in 1996:

“Regarding the circulation of texts of alleged private revelations, the Congregation states: The interpretation given by some individuals to a decision approved by Paul VI on 14 October 1966 and promulgated on 15 November of that year, in virtue of which writings and messages resulting from alleged revelations could be freely circulated in the Church is absolutely groundless. This decision actually referred to the “Abolition of the Index of Forbidden Books” and determined that after the relevant censures were lifted, the moral obligation still remained of not circulating or reading those writings which endanger faith and morals. It should be recalled however, that with regard to the circulation of texts of alleged private revelations, Canon 823#1 of the current code remains in force: “the Pastors of the Church have the … right to demand that writings to be published by the Christian faithful which touch upon faith or morals be submitted to their judgement”. Alleged supernatural revelations and writings concerning them are submitted in first instance to the judgement of the diocesan Bishop, and in particular cases, to the judgement of the Episcopal Conference and the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.”

@English Catholic You ask how on earth I did get to where I am now. Well, maybe the Holy Spirit brought me here. And I am in good company: Saint John Paul II also believed in Medjugorje. And many saints, bishops and theologians with him. That's what I mean by a lack of humility in judging people: many of these people have knowledge and insight that we cannot yet match. @petrus100452 Some spirit has brought you to where you are, but to blame the Holy Spirit borders on blasphemy. You appear to live in a para-church, living by private revelations, ranging from the approved to the utterly false and condemned. Our Lord stated "A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign: and a sign shall not be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet. And he left them, and went away." Matthew 16:4. You are what I call part of the 'signs and wonders' brigade. Instead of engaging with the flawed human element of the Church, which, if you have a Licentiate in Sacred Theology (which Catholic University was it again?) you have a particular responsibility before God to do, you're being led down blind alleyways and chasing after every cheap fraudster like Gisella Cardia.
The last word is not mine, and never can be. It belongs to the Church founded by Our Lord and His legitimate representatives: “I can only say that the statements on Medjugorje that have been attributed to the Holy Father (John Paul II) and to me have been made up out of thin air” (Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger [later Pope Benedict XVI], interview in Der Speigel magazine, July 22, 1998.)
