HOW AND WHY ARE WE CHILDREN OF GOD? (Our Divine adoption)
- - Genesis 1; 26-27: God said, "Let us" make man! in Our own image, in the likeness of ourselves, …..." God created man in the image of Himself, in the image of God He created him, male and female He created them.- - St. John 1: 12-13 ; “But to all who did receive Him, to those who believe in His Name, He gave them the power to become children of God. They were not born of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but they were begotten by God.”
- - Galatians 4, 6-7: “The proof that you are sons is that God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts : the Spirit that cries, "Abba, Father," and it is this that makes you a son, you are not a slave any more; and if God has made you son, then He has made you heir”.
- - Romans 8,9: “since the Spirit of God has made His home in you. In fact, Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to Him”.
- - 1 Corinthians 3,16: “Didn't you realize that you are Temple God' and that the Spirit of God lives in you?”
- - 1 Corinthians 6,19-20: “Your body, you know, is the Temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you since you received him from God. You are not your own property; You have been bought and paid for. That is why you should use your body for the glory of God”.
- - St. John 10:34 ; Jesus answered “It is written in your Law: I said you are gods”
- - St. John 20,17-18: “Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to me, because I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers, and tell them: I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God."
- - 1 John 3, 1: “Think of the love that the Father has lavished on us, by letting us be called God's children (seeds of God); and that is what we are”.
- Galatians 3, 26-28: “You are, all of you, sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. All baptized in Christ, you have all clothed yourselves in Christ”
- - Romans 8, 14-18: “Everyone moved by the Spirit is a son of God. The spirit you received is not the spirit of slaves bringing fear into your lives again; it is the spirit of sons, and it makes us cry out, "ABBA, FATHER!" The Spirit himself and our spirit bear united witness that we are children of God. And if we are children we are heirs as well: HEIRS of God and coheirs with Christ, sharing his sufferings so as to share his glory”.

‘Father, may your name be held holy,
Your kingdom come’”
- 2 Peter 1,4: “He has given us the guarantee of something very great and wonderful to come: through them you will be able to share the divine nature and to escape corruption in a world that is sunk in vice”.
