What I see is: Rorate-Caeli and Taylor Marshall are cooperating to boost Marshall and claim an influence and power he doesn't have. Advertisement.
Why are we making excuses for Francises evil behavior? Is it really someone else's fault? Marshall doesn't explain Francis ,evil does.
To be honest - for quite a long time writings of the priest under the penname "Don Pietro Leone" on Vaticanum II have been the only thing worth to read on Rorate's site.
I think it was sensible to dump the idols. It was not a stunt at all. I'm sure God will rewards all those who took part. Give no quarter!
I think that the fact that a disproportionate percentage of men being ordained had a great interest in the TLM had more to do with it, but, given the pettiness of the average curial official, there’s a good chance that this incident hastened the action. Summorum Pontificum was destined to be temporary. Either the TLM would go away of its own volition, due to it no longer being seen as “rebellious,” or whatever term you want to use, or, it would become a real threat to the status quo. Even if it was still utilized by a minority, it was a young minority, with many young priests, and even more vocations. It is a real threat to how things are done, and it had to be “dealt with,” and the vitriol towards Francis from Trads was a convenient excuse. But, this was bound to happen eventually.
They should rather blame Benedict XVI for Traditionis Custodes (because according to general rules of the post-conciliar system TC was an inevitable end to the fiction/schizophrenia of Summorum Pontificum; going outside the above system the possible ends were two: (a) converting the post-conciliar clergy/hierarchy - adequatio cum Traditione (b) suppressing the liturgy incoherent with post-conciliarism - adequatio cum nova religione, and proponents of the latter, of course, were afraid of the first one).
I see..... it is not the action that is the problem but rather the justified reaction . For 60 years now I have been hearing ad nauseum that if only we are nice to them they will be nice to us. Write a polite letter and be satisfied with the "thanks for sharing" response as the Church and the world are decimated! Had enough of being nice so has Talor Marshall and so should you!
