The French actress and sex symbol of the 1960s, Brigitte Bardot, aged 91, was laid to rest on 7 January after a funeral Eucharist in Saint-Tropez on the French Riviera. Celebrated by the parish priest, the Novus Ordo service included mostly profane music, such as the score of Contempt, the 1963 Jean-Luc Godard film in which Bardot starred. On 17 January, Jeanne Smits published an obituary on LifeSiteNews.com, correcting journalists who had one-sidedly referred to a 2024 interview in which Bardot described herself as a 'traditionalist', recalling the Mass of her childhood. Denying Eternal Life Bardot was not a practising Catholic. Although she called herself a believer, she wrote in her 2018 autobiography Larmes de combat (Tears of Battle): "It's the afterlife that's awful; what the body becomes is dirty. I don’t know if life after death exists. I don't know, and I don't necessarily hope that it does. What kind of mess could await us on the other side? We might as well sleep. Forever..." …Zwiṅwe
The popular Italian traditional website Messa in Latino, wrote Jan. 7 that it had contacted some anonymous but important cardinals who all said they were “discouraged and disappointed” about the relegation of the liturgy as a discussion topic. In comments to the Register Jan. 8, the website’s editor Luigi Casalini asked: “To whom did the Pope delegate this choice, and according to what criteria were these cardinals of the nine local churches selected in order to remove — in effect — two topics?” He also wondered “why cardinals sensitive to the issue” appear to have “made no attempt to lobby” for the liturgy to be included as a core topic of discussion, “even before the consistory.” The consistory, he added, “appears to be in perfect continuity with the Synods and the thought of Francis” — a reference to how recent synods were silent on the traditional liturgy.

"'The Apostle commands us to rejoice, but in the Lord, not in the world. For, you see, as Scripture says, whoever wishes to be a friend of this world will be counted as God's enemy. Just as a man cannot serve two masters, so too no-one can rejoice both in the world and in the Lord.' St. Augustine, Doctor and Father of the Church"
“'Out of one hundred thousand sinners who continue in sin until death, scarcely one will be saved.' St. Jerome, Doctor and Father of the Church 'It is certainly a great happiness for some sinners who after a bad life are converted at their death, and are saved; but these cases are very rare: ordinarily he that leads a bad life dies a bad death.' St. Alphonsus Maria de Liguori, Doctor of the Church 'So that you will better appreciate the meaning of Our Lord's words, and perceive more clearly how few the Elect are, note that Christ did not say that those who walked in the path to Heaven are few in number, but that there were few who found that narrow way. It is as though the Saviour intended to say: The path leading to Heaven is so narrow and so rough, so overgrown, so dark and difficult to discern, that there are many who never find it their whole life long. And those who do find it are constantly exposed to the danger of deviating from it, of mistaking their way, and unwittingly wandering …Zwiṅwe

President Trump has admitted that he wishes he hadn’t dismissed a radical proposal to seize voting machines by executive order in 2020. In a recent wide-ranging interview with the New York Times, Trump said that he regrets not seizing state voting machines to seek evidence of vote-rigging after the election. He famously refused to concede the 2020 election to Democrat Joe Biden, insisting the vote had been “rigged” by a variety of methods, with a bitter debate ensuing over the integrity of the election. Sedevacantism Isn’t Traditional. It’s a Heresy in Latin Clothing. Sedevacantism sells itself as heroic fidelity: we are the last Catholics standing while Rome has fallen. It sounds dramatic. It sounds pure. It sounds—if you squint—like Athanasius contra mundum. It’s none of those things. Strip away the rhetoric, and sedevacantism collapses into something the Church has seen before, condemned before, and buried before: private judgment dressed up as tradition. The Church Fathers would have recognized it instantly. Start with the basic Catholic claim: Christ founded a visible Church, with a visible hierarchy, governed by a visible head. That’s not Vatican I spin. That’s Irenaeus, Cyprian, Augustine—men who fought real heresies, not imagined apocalypses. St. Irenaeus didn’t say, “Check Rome’s doctrine against your personal theological spreadsheet.” He said you know the true Church by public succession from the Apostles, above all at Rome. Augustine didn’t say, “When things look bad …Zwiṅwe
That Rome has fallen into the deluge of scandals against the Faith and is worth only a God given purge - it is an objective fact. Responses to this fact are different - assuming "sede vacante" in many various versions is one kind of the reaction. It might be an error regarding the fact (whether the see is vacant or not - the Church will judge it in the future if God permits it) but most sedevacantists are not heretical.
I don’t understand how a Catholic can hold ZERO doubt about the authenticity of the hierarchy. I don’t remember the last time I heard something Catholic from Rome. I’m not convinced by sedevacantism per se I.e. I don’t think it can be held onto as something dogmatic. But I certainly think Catholics can hold it as an opinion without being heretics. Any Sede would tell you the church needs the papacy and that they love and hold the office in the highest esteem. I don’t buy all of the neo con arguments that an extended vacancy would necessarily mean the failure of the Church against the gates of hell. It’s Christs church, he told us there would be false shepherds whom the sheep would ignore. He will pull us through. I hold no malice toward those who disagree with sedevacantists. I can see where they are coming from. I think we live in a time where the devil has succeeded in pitting authority and dogma against each other to cause fierce infighting among the most faithful Catholics.

Rome Seals Jubilee; Hope Endures Beyond Doors | Shalom World News As the 2025 Jubilee Year of Hope has come to a close on 6 January 2026, a solemn ceremony took place on Tuesday night, January 13, as the Holy Door of the Papal Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore was sealed in a ceremonial rite led by Cardinal Rolandas Makrickas, with Monsignor Ľubomír Welnitz and Fr Diego Giovanni Ravelli in attendance. A bronze box was placed within the wall, containing the closing protocol, keys, pontifical medals dating back to 2016, and a commemorative basilica medal. Similar rites are scheduled for the Basilica of Saint John Lateran (Wednesday), Saint Paul Outside the Walls (Thursday), and St. Peter’s Basilica (Friday) as part of the Jubilee’s conclusion. The Jubilee, opened by Pope Francis on Christmas Eve 2024 and officially concluded by Pope Leo, invites the faithful to deeper conversion and mercy. Traditionally celebrated every 25 years, the next Ordinary Jubilee is anticipated in 2033, a year …Zwiṅwe
1 Samuel 9:1-4, 10c, 17-19; 10:1 Samuel said to Saul, “The Lord anoints you ruler over his people Israel.” A reminder that it is better to lead a people with God’s love, joy, and peace. Mark 2:13-17 “Jesus went out along the sea. All the crowd came to him and he taught them.” The phrase “the whole crowd came to him” means more than just those people at that time. All crowds and leaders would benefit from allowing the Lord to reign over the people and in the hearts of the leaders. Biblical texts: NAB-RE Normand Thomas.
Journalists Raymond Arroyo and Robert Royal, and canon lawyer and priest Gerald Murray of New York talked on January 16 about the consistory of January 7-8. A short sequence, video below. Robert Royal commenting on Cardinal Grech’s contribution on synod: I think you hear that and you say, what in God’s name can that possibly mean? This is the gobbledygook we’ve been listening to for years about synodality and all this confusion. I mean, one of the things I’ve heard from sources is that many of these cardinals have said, "Look, we’re just confused about this. We’re tired of going over the same things again and again." These pronouncements keep coming out. When I read Cardinal Grech, I said to myself: This guy knows they haven’t gotten anything substantial done. You can try to preserve the illusion that there’s somehow a dynamic age of the Spirit underway, but it’s about to die. Raymond Arroyo: Well, he says there are good fruits here. He says fruits are blooming all over the place. …Zwiṅwe
18.01.2026 POPE LEO’S PRESENT INTERPRETATION OF VATICAN COUNCIL II IS HERETICAL AND SCHISMATIC AND DISQUALIFIES HIM FROM OFFERING HOLY MASS POPE LEO’S PRESENT INTERPRETATION OF VATICAN …
The speakers avove interpret Vatican Council II with the Rahner LG 16 error .It is the same with thee Synods and Consistory. This is also the deceptive policy of EWTN which the speakers are prudently maintaining.
We’re funny creatures, really. We sit down for dinner and complain about the soup. That same bowl would be a miracle to someone who hasn’t eaten in days. But we’re not hungry — we’re picky. We walk into an empty apartment and curse the loneliness. That same space would feel like heaven to someone sleeping in a train station. But we’re not homeless — we’re insatiable. We look in the mirror and circle imperfections. That same body would be a gift to someone fighting for their life. But we’re not sick — we’re just blind. Blind to what we have. Deaf to our own good fortune. Numb to the quiet, everyday miracle of simply existing. Because we’re convinced happiness lives somewhere else — in another city, another job, another house, another pair of hands. But the truth is… it’s here. In a closet full of clothes that somehow leaves you with “nothing to wear.” In a phone full of contacts that somehow leaves you with “no one to call.” In a calendar full of plans that somehow leaves you …Zwiṅwe
[Saint Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort – XVII-XVIII Century AD; Montfort-sur-Meu, France/Saint-Laurent-sur-Sèvre, France; aged 43, Total consecration to Jesus through Mary] Second part ~ What perfect devotion to Mary consists in I. Some true devotions to the Blessed Virgin Mary 24. There are indeed several true devotions to our Lady. I do not intend treating of those which are false. 25. The first consists in fulfilling the duties of our Christian state, avoiding all mortal sin, performing our actions for God more through love than through fear, praying to our Lady occasionally, and honouring her as the Mother of God, but without our devotion to her being exceptional. 26. The second consists in entertaining for our Lady deeper feelings of esteem and love, of confidence and veneration. This devotion inspires us to join the confraternities of the Holy Rosary and the Scapular, to say the five or fifteen decades of the Rosary, to venerate our Lady's pictures and shrines, to make her known …Zwiṅwe

16.01.2026 LIST OF PRIESTS NEEDED WHO INTERPRET VATICAN COUNCIL II RATIONALLY ALIGNED WITH THE ROMAN MISSAL AND TRADITION Latin Mass groups must make films and publish articles which show there is a new discovery within the Catholic Church which supports the Roman Missal and the Latin Mass and not Pope Leo and cardinals Roche and Fernandez. THE FILM The film, like the one on Charlotte, North Carolina, mentions the closure or restrictions on the Latin Mass. This is being done by bishops who interpret Vatican Council II and the Catechism of the Catholic Church irrationally and so unethically. They also support new versions of the Creeds, Councils and Catechisms, which make obsolete the exclusivist ecclesiology of the Roman Missal at the Latin Mass. It creates exceptions for also the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus, the Athanasius Creed and the Syllabus of Pope Pius IX. This is public heresy and schism since now it is known that Magisterial Documents can be re-interpreted rationally …Zwiṅwe
