Cardinals Received a Document Opposing the Roman Rite at the Consistory - Report

Although the subject of the Mass in the Roman rite was not raised openly during the consistory on January 7-8, it was nevertheless referenced in writing.
“While the liturgy was put aside,” an anonymous cardinal told TheCatholicHerald.com that “we were given a paper at the end written by Cardinal Arthur Roche, which was pretty negative concerning the Tridentine Latin Mass.”
Cardinal Roche, Prefect of the Dicastery for Liturgy, has been one of the key figures in enforcing Pope Francis's 2021 apostolic letter Traditionis custodes, which restricts the celebration of the Mass.

Cardinal Parolin Has Allegedly Tried to Secure a Negotiated Exit for Maduro

On Christmas Eve, Cardinal Pietro Parolin urgently summoned Brian Burch, the U.S. ambassador to the Holy See. He wanted to press for details on Washington’s plans for Venezuela, WashingtonPost.com reported on January 9, citing U.S. government documents.
Cardinal Parolin served as apostolic nuncio to Venezuela from 2009 to 2013.
He wanted to push for a diplomatic solution that would allow the Venezuelan leader to step aside without bloodshed.
Lack of Clarity of US Endgame in Venezuela
Cardinal Parolin conceded that Nicolás Maduro had to go, but urged the United States to offer him a safe exit. He warned that a violent escalation risked severe regional destabilization.
He reportedly asked whether the United States was targeting "drug traffickers" or pursuing regime change.
According to "anonymous sources", Cardinal Parolin suggested that the United States set a clear deadline for Maduro’s departure and provide assurances for his family.
He also expressed that he was “very, very, very …Hafa

‘I Didn’t Know About Epstein’s Crimes Because I’m Gay’: Disgraced Former British Ambassador to the US, Lord Peter Mandelson Uses the ‘Gay Card’ To Try To Evade Responsibility – Allah's Willing Executioners

Mandelson and Epstein goi shopping in the US Virgin Islands.
Mandelson thinks we are all gullible simpletons.
Disgraced former British Ambassador to the US, Lord Mandelson, has claimed to have been ‘kept in the dark’ about Jeffrey Epstein’s sex crimes ‘because he was gay’.
The Telegraph reported:
“The peer was sacked as ambassador to the United States last year after it emerged [that] he had urged the financier to fight for early release from prison.
Lord Mandelson claimed that, because of his sexuality, he was ‘kept separate from what [Epstein] was doing in the sexual side of his life’.”

He described Epstein as his ‘best pal’, but argues he was kept ‘at the edge of this man’s life’.
“In his first interview since losing his job, Lord Mandelson refused to apologize to Epstein’s victims for writing to him after his conviction for sex offences, claiming he was not culpable for any of Epstein’s criminal activity.”
Even a Labour Cabinet minister was led to say he had been guilty of …

JAN 2026 - TRUMP'S Donroe Doctrine as he calls it, receives an opposition and firm disapproval from Canada for the illicit invasion of Venezuela under a pretext of narco terrorism to take over the countries' oil resources and minerals.
On the other hand Trump pridefully says that he will take control (govern) over the entire hemisphere.
Canada reminds the U.S. that they are ready for any action the U.S. may try to force against them as they will never bow down to a dictator and lose their country to become the 51 state in the U.S.

"May I Hug the Pope": This evening, Pope Leo XIV welcomed young people from the Diocese of Rome to the Paul VI Audience Hall. One of the young participants, who had been selected to speak, addressed the Pope at the microphone, saying: 'Dear Pope Leo, thank you for all you do for us. We love you. You are not alone. May we give you a hug?” After this, the young man approached Pope Leo XIV and embraced him.

“Dear Pope Leo, thank you for all you do for us. We love you. You are not alone. Can we give you a hug?”

How can the Catholic Church seek unity with other Christian communities by compromising the Word of God and disregarding the divine commandments? Authentic Christian unity can never be built upon the denial of revealed truth or moral absolutes. Ideologies that contradict natural law and divine revelation—such as the normalization of homosexual acts, abortion, contraception, IVF, euthanasia, and attacks against the sacramental nature of the priesthood and the Sacrament of Confession—cannot serve as foundations for true communion.

Yesterday I finished my lesson about five minutes early and told my students they could just sit and talk to each other until the bell.
Almost immediately, a handful of phones came out.
I stopped them.
“No phones today. I want you to actually talk to each other.”
There was a unified sigh of annoyance… and then something both beautiful and unsettling happened.
Within a few minutes, a few desks came to life — kids were looking one another in the eye, asking questions, laughing, building real conversations. It was genuinely heartwarming to watch.
But many of them froze.
They didn’t know what to do without a screen delivering entertainment. Some lowered their heads. Some stared at their hands. Some avoided eye contact completely.
I walked over and tried to help them get a conversation going. A few could force out a sentence or two — most had no idea where to start.
I’m sharing this not as a complaint, but as a warning shot for parents, grandparents, teachers, coaches — anyone raising …Hafa

Most jaw-dropping: Cardinal Joseph Zen’s explosive critique of the Synod was entirely omitted from the Vatican’s official recap.
At the consistory, the 93-year-old cardinal called the Synod on Synodality an “ironclad manipulation,” mocked appeals to the Holy Spirit as “almost blasphemous,” warned of Anglican-style division, and accused the process of enabling region-by-region doctrine while sidelining the Synod of Bishops—remarks the Vatican did not mention.

Synodal Way Will Lead the Church to Anglican Fracture – Cardinal Zen

The Synod on Synodality was an “ironclad manipulation,” Cardinal Joseph Zen, 93, said in his three-minute intervention at the consistory held January 7–8. The text of his speech was published on the Substack account of Edward Pentin CardinalNews.Substack.com.
Prior to the consistory, Cardinal Zen was received in private audience by Pope Leo XIV.
Synod’s Invocation of the Holy Spirit Verges on Blasphemy
In his intervention, Cardinal Zen criticized the late Pope Francis and the synodal process he initiated: “The ironclad manipulation of the process is an insult to the dignity of the Bishops, and the continual reference to the Holy Spirit is ridiculous and almost blasphemous.”
Francis, he said, expected “surprises” from the Holy Spirit. Cardinal Zen responded: “What surprises? That He should repudiate what He inspired in the Church’s two-thousand-year Tradition?”
Cardinal Zen noted that Francis bypassed the Episcopal College, listened directly to selected members of the laity, and …Hafa

‘We must honour the dead’: Gaza man buries thousands amid war
Over two years of Israel’s war on Gaza, more than 71,000 Palestinians have been killed. Yousef Abu Hatab, 65, has personally buried over 18,000 people, including his son and brother. Basic burial materials are exhausted under Israel’s blockade, forcing him to work by hand. He collects bricks from destroyed homes to carry out proper Muslim burials. At Naser Hospital, he converted the yard into a graveyard, burying 540 bodies. He also handled unidentified bodies, including 80 released by the Israeli army. Despite exhaustion and loss, he is determined to give the dead a dignified resting place. Subscribe to our channel: Al Jazeera English

Italian MP Defends Former Papal Master of Ceremonies

Public support for Monsignor Marco Agostini, the former Master of Papal Ceremonies, has emerged in Italy. He was dismissed after an audio recording was circulated in which he was allegedly heard using offensive language about members of the Roman Curia. While a microphone was unintentionally left on ahead of a Christmas greeting, he reportedly said that they are all "assholes" and "faggots".
On 4 January, VeronaNews.net reported that Vito Comencini (Popolo Veneto), a member of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, had issued a public letter expressing solidarity with the prelate.
Comencini considers the dismissal 'unjust and foolish', adding that it represents a 'worrying sign of persecution'.
Neither the audio nor the dismissal has been accompanied by an official explanation from Vatican authorities.
The Italian politician is aware that Monsignor Agostini had been 'targeted for some time' and claims that the alleged interception merely served as justification for his removal.

Fr. Gerald Murray: "I'll say this again... No bishop can prohibit Ad Orientem celebration of the Mass in his diocese beyond his powers, because it is foreseen in the Roman Missal, and the Dicastery of Divine Worship has affirmed in private correspondence in the past that this remains a legitimate way to celebrate Mass. Sad to say, many bishops ignore it, and they won't like it to hear it said, but there and by, why in the world would you want to prohibit what was done for 1300 years or more?"
